Tree damage after this bad weather

Simon from Massey

Hi neighbors,

I'm an arborist, (tree worker) and yesterday one of the Oak trees on my drive dropped a branch knocking out the phone lines. I was able to resolve this quite quickly, but it made me think..

After these winds I'd just like my neighbors to take a moment to look at your trees and check for 1. Dead branches 2. Cracked or broken branches 3. Splits or scars at the base of branches.
There's an old saying "A stitch in time saves nine"

If you see something that needs making safe, I'll look after you. Just give me a call... Simon 021 183 6037 and I'll pop round and fix it for you.

Take care and stay safe

Simon

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
