DEMENTIA FOR FAMILIES
The effect on family life when caring for a loved one with dementia is trying. Especially when they live at home.
In order to care effectively for a person living with dementia you must accept the way things are, and then, introduce change into your life.
Come share and listen to trained staff who understand and want to help.
We'll discuss:
• What dementia is and what living with dementia means
• The grieving process
• Support services and how to access them
• Challenging behaviour and how to respond
• What are the doctors saying and how to understand them
• What happens when keeping your loved one at home is no
longer an option

Poll: Should complete designs be shared with the public, or should the community help shape the designs from the start?
The Post recently shared an opinion piece on the Harbour Crossing and why a more democratic approach might be needed 🚗🚲👟
While most decisions sit within the political arena, many organisations—like NZTA—manage long-term projects that go beyond party lines. Politics can sometimes disrupt progress, and the next Harbour Crossing is a big decision that will affect all Aucklanders.
We’d love your thoughts: Should near-complete, shovel-ready designs be shared with the public, or should the community have a hand in shaping the designs from the start?
-
76.4% Community feedback and transparency is needed.
-
23.6% No. This would be impossible in practice.
