Bamboo poles and bean plants. 😃

Sharon from Te Atatu South

My new freshly-cut (from the backyard of someone on Titirangi Facebook page!) green bamboo poles holding up my garden shades (old poles were rotten at the base & one broke in the storm the other night 😛 ), and dwarf beans (from someone else on Titirangi Facebook page!) newly planted in the … View moreMy new freshly-cut (from the backyard of someone on Titirangi Facebook page!) green bamboo poles holding up my garden shades (old poles were rotten at the base & one broke in the storm the other night 😛 ), and dwarf beans (from someone else on Titirangi Facebook page!) newly planted in the vege garden bed by the back door - splattered with liquid seaweed fertiliser and then watered. That's why they look a bit all-over-the-place, but they should right themselves again soon. 😃

My neighbours suffered some storm damage after last night, but I got off pretty lucky.

Sharon from Te Atatu South

I had to replace one of my old fabric pansy shades with an old sheet too - it looks much better than the old shade 😃 Some flowers from the unruly cherry-ice-cream begonias I'd just trimmed back so the yellow and Double Delight roses can have more sunlight. 😃 I don't always get … View moreI had to replace one of my old fabric pansy shades with an old sheet too - it looks much better than the old shade 😃 Some flowers from the unruly cherry-ice-cream begonias I'd just trimmed back so the yellow and Double Delight roses can have more sunlight. 😃 I don't always get overly flowery about things, but when I do, I make the effort. 😃 ❤

(Photo 6.) I have at least three larger ones (that I'm sure will become BIG ones!) and quite a lot of smaller ones growing, and red and yellow dahlias in my garden (photos 7-9), and my barrels, positioned under a conveniently positioned leaky gutter (that I hope the landlord won't fix anytime soon!) are nice and full (photo 10), I think I'm going to have to empty them into my IBC behind them if this rain keeps going - that's the white cube-shaped thing behind them that has a steel tubing cage around it, like you see on farms and in crop fields etc. I have two, they hold 1000 litres each.
