FREE Webinar series
Residents of Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland are invited to attend a FREE MH101 webinar series during December.
Blueprint for Learning, has been awarded funding from the Ministry of Health to facilitate MH101 webinars and workshops for frontline government agency staff, social services staff, and members of the community who are not trained in mental health or addiction.
Staff in these organisations are eligible to attend these FREE workshops if they are likely to come into regular contact with individuals experiencing mental distress in their day-to-day work.
These one-day workshops and three session webinars are co-facilitated by Blueprint’s expert team, bringing a wealth of professional and personal experience to the sessions.
Each participant will be given a workbook which they can keep. This includes all workshop material and is a reference guide for the future, including additional information and resources.
After MH101® you will:
• recognise signs of positive mental health and of mental health challenges.
• use Te Whare Tapa Whā to support mental wellbeing.
• relate to what people with mental health challenges are experiencing.
• respond supportively to mental distress.
To register for the three sessions on the dates/times below: blueprint.arlo.co......
Monday, 6 December 2021 2:00pm - 4.30pm
Wednesday, 8 December 2021 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Friday,10 December 2021 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Each participant will need their own device with camera and microphone, a stable internet connection and a quiet, private space to join each session from. Participants will need to attend all three sessions to receive a completion certificate.
Blueprint for Learning is also able to run MH101 workshops and webinars for organisations and would be pleased to discuss this with you.
Poll: Should we ditch daylight saving? 🕰️
First introduced in New Zealand in 1927 with the passing of the Summer Time Act, it's what we know as 'Daylight Saving' and this year it ends on the first Sunday in April.
While we do get to sleep in this time around, some people would like to scrap the clock tinkering for good.
And why? Some evidence suggests the time changes are bad for our health as they mess with sleep patterns leading to short-term fatigue and affecting mood. Meanwhile the hour change is frustrating for farmers and a nightmare for getting the littlies to sleep. But what's your take?
-
40.5% Yes - get rid of the clock changes
-
57.6% No, I enjoy it
-
1.9% Other - I'll share below
Away overseas in May! Garden Maintenance 🌿
Hi neighbours! Just a quick update — if flights aren’t disrupted due to the current fuel situation, I’ll be heading overseas from 6th May to 23rd May 2026 to celebrate a family member’s wedding 💍 and spend some quality time with family.
In the meantime, I’m still actively tending to clients’ gardens across the South & East Auckland areas. If you’re needing any garden maintenance before I head away, feel free to send me a DM 🌿
Thanks so much for your continued support — it’s always appreciated!
