There is a volunteer position open for Event & Fundraising Admin support here at our Auckland Service Centre. We are looking for someone with excellent Office Suite, Social Media and some data entry skills.
We are looking for someone to support fundraising projects for 3 months from Jan-Mar, at least 6-8 hours per week, between 9-5 set time and weekdays (not evening nor weekends).
If you or if you know of anyone living within or near Auckland South and interested, please do let me know.

But due to lower demand for library services between the Christmas and New Year period, the region’s 21 local boards have decided that 15 libraries will close for the four days between Christmas and New Year.

We're backing schools to set up walking buses and other solutions, with parents and volunteers helping local kids get to class safely.
We wrote to the nation's mayors pleading with them to lower speed limits outside schools, and many have come back to us with expressions of support. We talked to well-known New Zealanders with school-aged kids, and they united behind the campaign.
You can get involved too. We know people are busy, so the Sunday Star-Times and Neighbourly are encouraging families to choose one day a week when they and their kids walk, scoot, cycle - even ride a horse if that's what works for you!
I've chosen Mondays as the days I'll cycle to school with my 6-year-old son. The Zonta Club of East Auckland holds its annual awards evening earlier this month.
Sunnyhills School won the Mother Earth Big Garden competition and received a prize package worth $5000 which included plants, gardening equipment, soil and vegetable beds. Students mucked in on Monday to plant a new garden with more than 20 types of vegetables.
