Due to road closures a number of city centre bus stops will temporarily be relocated and some bus route diversions will be in place. Free shuttle bus transfers will be provided. Main roads affected include, but are not limited to, Queen St, Customs St, Mayoral Dr, Beach Rd & Anzac Ave. If you’re attending the event, or need to travel through this area, please plan your travel in advance and allow extra time.

It will start this Sunday and Monday nights between Dobson Road and Mangatawhiri Road near the SH1 interchange at Pokeno. It … View moreThe NZ Transport Agency advises motorists that re-surfacing work on two sections of State Highway 2, has been re-scheduled to start on Sunday, November 18 for five nights. It will start this Sunday and Monday nights between Dobson Road and Mangatawhiri Road near the SH1 interchange at Pokeno. It will continue from Tuesday to Thursday between Dimmock Road and Heaven Road before the SH2/25 roundabout leading to Thames.
The resurfacing will take place between 7pm and 5am when traffic is lightest and the road crews can work, quickly, safely and efficiently. There will be stop/go traffic management to keep one lane open and a temporary 30 kph speed limit in place, but motorists should expect delays. Read more

- The call will be from an international number that's then redirected through a local number.
- The aggressive scammer could be very convincing.
- Upon answering, they demand money for damages from a vehicle collision they claim you were involved in.
- Police are urging people to warn elderly relatives so they do not fall victim to the scam and lose money.
- If you receive a call of this nature, police advise you to hang up immediately.
