Mangrove Pulling Event Saturday 28th May
Looking for volunteers this Saturday please to help pull out juvenile mangroves at the Keith Park foreshore in Roys Road Weymouth.Playground carpark. 2:30pm start. Have received sacks from the Council. Just need the people now.
I am asking for help as I now have arthritis in my knees so can longer manage them as I have done for the past 23 years.
Suggest closed footwear to be worn as it can be quite muddy in parts
The seedlings are easy to pull out as they are still quite young.
Help keep our coastline beautiful.

Auckland Harbour Bridge summer works
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is carrying out essential maintenance on the Auckland Harbour Bridge this December and January. The southbound clip-on lanes will be closed (24/7) from 26 December to 5 January for road resurfacing. Night-time lane restrictions will be in place throughout the summer for recoating work on the bridge. Traffic will still be able to travel in both directions at all times.
