Celebrate Community - March 1st to 31st ๐
This month is all about bringing your community together and having a great time! We want March to be all about celebrating the connections we have while making new ones along the way. As we all know, what makes a neighbourhood great isnโt the houses and cars, gardens and streets - itโs the people who share their presence and aroha with each other.
A wonderful way to take part is to participate in Neighbours Day Aotearoa which takes place from 20 - 30th March. This yearโs theme is โThe Great Plant Swapโ - as an easy way for our neighbourhoods to grow stronger together. If youโre hosting an event, make sure to register it on their website: neighboursday.org.nz/join-in
Show us how youโre celebrating community this month by tagging us in your social media posts or emailing us your photos, videos, or experiences to: info@neighbourhoodsupport.co.nz
Denim, but make it one-of-a-kind ๐
Not every pair of jeans makes it to the rack... but that doesnโt mean their story ends there. Our talented volunteer Annie has been transforming damaged denim into handcrafted bags, hats and aprons in our Onehunga SPCA Op Shop โ๏ธ๐งต
This latest batch even features her own hand-sewn designs, and customers have been loving them, they sell almost as soon as they hit the shelf!
Itโs creativity, sustainability and community all stitched together, helping animals in need ๐พ

Step by step for a great cause!
Our amazing Hillary Hikers from Edmund Hillary Village showed their support for Bowel Cancer New Zealand's Move Your Butt campaign this month!
Sporting the bright purple and orange campaign shirts, these wonderful walkers hit the Auckland waterfront and marched from Mission Bay to Kohimarama, raising awareness for bowel cancer and the importance of early detection along the way.
