Browns Bay Christmas Parade & Market
Come and enjoy the biggest little Christmas Parade in Auckland! The iconic Browns Bay parade attracts 10,000+ visitors every year and is recognised for being a stunning family event that marks the start of the Festive Season on Auckland's North Shore.
Bring your family and friends to Browns Bay for a day trip. Relax on the beach; ice cream in the sun; coffee or lunch at one of the many fabulous cafes and restaurants in town.
Stroll through the all-day craft market in Phoenix Plaza and the beach front where you'll find Christmas gift ideas galore. Live entertainment in the Plaza will keep your feet tapping until it's time to find your prime position along the parade route.
The Parade starts at 5pm from Glen Road, turns into Bute Road, then Clyde Road (main street), Anzac Road, and finishes back at Glen Road. See an amazing procession of festive floats, bands, dancers, vehicles, magicians, as well as many church, school and community groups in amazing costumes. And lots, lots more.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
Do you think this ban is reasonable?
