Mum makes recordings for daughters before dying from motor neuron disease
Hi neighbours, a Takapuna family has been left devastated after watching a beloved wife and mother die from a motor neuron disease.
Karen Barreto, 52, died in hospice on February 9, after a "courageous battle" with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), the most common type of the disease.
