Tradie Quotes
Over the years I have encountered time and time again the scenario whereby I have requested a quote from a tradie i.e. electrician, plumber, plasterer, painter which, compared to other quotes within the same trade, has been exorbitant. The jobs I have requested quotations for have been usually smaller jobs. It is well known between tradies that if they don't want the job they will quote an exorbitant price, hoping that the person they are providing the quotation for, won't accept their quote. What is wrong with being more direct and saying "Sorry, I don't want to quote for your job as I'm too busy" instead of hiking up their price????
