Mairangi Village Traffic Safety Petition Update
After many months of frustration trying to establish the process for submitting our petition I finally, as you will see below, have had some meaningful contact with Auckland Transport. Hopefully that translates to a meaningful outcome for our village.
I will keep you posted.
Kind regards
John
Hi John,
There are many concerns raised, which require extensive investigation and survey. Once we have completed our investigation and survey, we will come back to you with our recommendations. We aim to response within 3 months or earlier.
We will liaise with you if we need any further information and your valuable local knowledge of the area.
Thanks for raising your concerns with AT.

Hi Wayne
Thank you for your email of 30 March.
It is certainly encouraging to see Auckland Transport will be undertaking an extensive investigation and survey.
The Village has many dynamics within any day and also within any day of the week. I trust AT is aware of this and will develop an investigative programme capable of capturing all relevant information.
I would certainly be available for any input as I am sure would the business operators in particular those in close proximity to the danger spots. As an example. The staff at Hartleys would be able to give accurate descriptions of the incidents they witness on the pedestrian crossing.
Many thanks for your notice of commitment which I will circulate.
Kind regards
John
