Driving lessons with female instructors
Looking for female driver instructor?
Thdah is a Burmese refugee who came to New Zealand 4 years ago with her husband and three children. Although she had her learner licence within one year of her arrival in New Zealand, she only started learning to drive three months ago. Her children were the main reason why she decided to learn to drive so that she can drop off and pick them up in schools. She also knows that having a driver licence is an advantage to be able to grab job opportunity.
She found out about the Puketapapa Community Driving School (PCDS) through her social worker and had her driving lessons with a qualified instructor, Susan Matencio. After having a few lessons, Thdah shared she now felt more confident getting behind the wheels. She also thanks Susan for her patience and kindness that helped ease her nervousness. Thdah aims to sit her restricted licence test in August 2019.
