Damian Light will put East Auckland first

Damian Light

There’s a by-election happening in Howick and it’s important that you have your say.

My name is Damian Light and I’m offering my skills and experience to help our community. I am ready to step into the role and will hit the ground running. I'm practical, local and action orientated.

I understand how community, business and government operate. I’ve volunteered as member, secretary and chairperson of community groups across Auckland. I’ve worked as a problem solver for businesses for over a decade. I’ve stood as a candidate and led a political party into an election.

With your support, I will provide the vision and leadership to tackle the tough issues, put in the hard work and ensure the people of East Auckland are heard at the council table.

I’m always happy to answer questions or listen to ideas so get in touch (here, on Twitter or Facebook). Your voice is important, so make sure you’re heard!

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
