Security Reminders
Now Daylight Saving has ended & its dark so early, it's time to remind all our residents to think about security at home and closing & locking our doors & windows earlier.
If you are going away do not close blinds/curtains but have lights on a timer going on/off at night - tell your neighbours/family & have them clear mailboxes of papers & junk mail
If you need to park on the road at night remove valuables from the car, use a steering lock & set the alarm.
Howick/Botany Neighbourhood Support is active in the area & if you are interested in joining us please contact our Chairperson Gay Sykes on 027 2712494 or our Secretary Shelley Smithies on - howickbotanynhs@gmail.com
What's your favourite tomato recipe?
Kia ora neighbours. We know your tomato plants are still growing, but we're looking ahead to the harvest already! If you've got a family recipe for tomatoes, we'd love to see it and maybe publish it in our magazine to share with our readers. Send your recipe to mailbox@nzgardener.co.nz, and if we use it in the mag, you will receive a free copy of our February 2025 issue.
