Dear Sir / Madam,

In relation to the decrease in the speed limit on Aviemore Drive in Auckland last year, I would like to request the following information:

1/ The date on which the decision to reduce the speed limit from 60 kph to 50 kph was made.

2/ The minutes of the above meeting.

3/ The date on which the decision to reduce the speed limit was executed.

4/ For the 5 years prior to the date the limit was reduced, please supply:

The number and dates of fatal accidents

The number and dates of accidents causing injury requiring hospitalisation (not including the above).

The number and dates of all other accidents.

5/ For the interval after the introduction of the reduced speed limit last year, please supply:

The number and dates of fatal accidents

The number and dates of accidents causing injury requiring hospitalisation (not including the above).

The number and dates of all other accidents.

6/ What reduction in the number of annual fatal accidents would you consider to be a success?

7/ What reduction in the number of annual accidents causing non-fatal injuries would you consider to be a success?

8 What reduction in the annual number of all other accidents would you consider to be a success?

9/ What reduction in the annual number of fatal accidents would you consider makes this decision a failure?

10/ What reduction in the annual number of accidents causing non-fatal injuries would you consider makes this decision a failure to be a failure?

11/ What reduction in the annual number of all other accidents would you consider makes this decision to be a failure

12/ If there is no significant reduction in the number of fatal, non-fatal, and overall accidents, would you consider this decision to be a failure?

13/ What consultation efforts were made, if any, with the good citizens of the Eastern Suburbs before reducing this limit?

14/ What other reductions in speed limits are currently being proposed, or in the process of being implemented, in the Eastern Suburbs

Please supply this information within 20 working days, in accordance with the Act.

Best Regards, William Porter

A full life for Helen is one that is surrounded by family. When she first moved to the village, Helen’s husband John was being cared for elsewhere. Now that he is living at the same village, it brings Helen and her family so much happiness and reassurance.

“All the family cried when he moved in. They were so happy because it was such a beautiful thing to have him close by.”

Considering I have the right of way at roundabout, I find it very frustrating the number of drivers that choose to not give way and dash out in front of my car as I am right in their path.

Why do these arrogant drivers think not only it is okay to do this, but sound your horn at them, they also do the fingers at you. As for the awful person who did just that to me this evening, I have wasted no time in reporting them to the police with an online form. I urge other respectful and responsible drivers to do the same.

CORNER OF ACCENT AND EAST TAMAKI BLACK AND WHITE LONG-HAIRED DOG LOOKING LOST AND CONFUSED, POSSIBLY SOMEONES FARM DOG.
HAS A COLLAR AND TAG, RAN UNDER A GATE AND UP A LONG DRIVE NEXT TO THE BUS STATION OPPOSITE THE FIELD.
HOPEFULLY OWNER FINDS IT SOON AS IT DOESNT APPEAR TO BE USED THE ROAD AND WAS CROSSING IN FRONT OF CARS VERY DANGEROUS ROAD, TRIED TO APPROACH IT BUT DIDNT WANT TO SPOOK IT INTO TRAFFIC, BUT WHEN IT WENT UNDER A GATE I TOLD IT TO GO HOME, AND WATCHED IT GO TO THE TOP OF THE LONG DRIVE SO HOPEFULLY IT WILL BE SAFE FROM THE ROAD TILL THE OWNER FINDS IT.
ITS MORE AN INDUSTRIAL AREA SO NOT SURE WHERE THE DOG HAS COME FROM COULD BE SOMEONES BUSINESS DOG.
