Te Mahere - the Headquarters community venue now open for use and hire

Woohoo! Te Mahere - the Headquarters is now reopened this morning and is available for all. Christina has joined our team as our Venue Coordinator and our office is now open from 9.15am to 2.45pm, Monday to Friday.

Bookings are available online through our website (www.hobsonville.org.nz...) and rooms can be hired from 7am to 10pm, 7 days per week.

We're also currently opening the Baffin Lounge for anyone to relax in our have a cuppa from 10am to 2pm, Monday to Friday.

If you're interested in regular hire or have a special event or idea you'd like to discuss, please send us an email (venues@hobsonville.org.nz), give us a call (0225411476) or feel free to drop on in.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
