School holidays are coming!!!
Hi there!
For all you lovely parents in my neighbourhood, I just wanted some feedback to gauge if one of my ideas will be of benefit to you and your little/big ones at home for this coming November.
I was thinking of allocating one hour a day to help children living on the shore develop social, leadership, communication and sportsmanship skills with other children of different backgrounds through sport. More so, if it's not for these reasons, it is to build friendships and getting kids out of their comfort zone in a safe environment.
1.5 hrs for $15 each late afternoon/evening depending on what suits to most parents for ~2 weeks.
Would anyone be interested?
I have over 2 years of experience working with children by conducting birthday parties dressed up as a genie/moana. Happy to share reviews with you if interested. I'm also completing my 3rd year in pharmacy at the University of Auckland - you can trust me!
PS: All proceeds will be donated to a hospice close to my heart in memory of my grandfather for my 21st birthday in Jan.
Let me know your thoughts! :)
RATIONALE: Every day I see students at university who lack basic social etiquette and skills, emotional intelligence, and bravery to interact with other students who are not like them - this needs to change. I've spent my formative years in over three countries giving me an advantage to help your child become more flexible to change and more optimistic about diversity. Feel free to message me for more information. With as much as I can do, I want to be out here in the community using my time to build relationships with children/people in my community in as little as an hour a day.
Poll: 🗑️ Would you be keen to switch to a fortnightly rubbish collection, or do you prefer things as they are?
Aucklanders, our weekly rubbish collections are staying after councillors voted to scrap a proposed trial of fortnightly pick-ups.
We want to hear from you: would you be keen to switch to a fortnightly rubbish collection, or do you prefer things as they are?
Keen for the details? Read up about the scrapped collection trial here.
