Every day we are exposed to toxic metals and other elements in our surrounding environment either through contamination or occupational exposure. Also, nutritional deficiencies are becoming more widespread due to an increase in consumption of highly processed and poor quality foods among other damaging lifestyle practices. Most people have some level of toxic metal burden in their body, which may be dependent on the following:
* The level of exposure to toxic metals during their lifetime, including congenital exposure
* Their ability to eliminate toxins through detoxification channels, e.g. kidney, liver, bowel, skin (perspiration)
* Their mineral intake and status
The OligoScan utilises Spectrophotometry, an instrument that measures the amount of light emitted by a light source. In this case the light is reflected from the skin, which determines the concentration of minerals and toxic elements in the underlying tissues. From one sample, the OligoScan is able to determine the presence of minerals and toxic elements being mobilised in the tissues of the individual.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
