WHOLESALE MEATS DIRECT ONEHUNGA WOULD LIKE TO ASSURE OUR VALUED CUSTOMER OF THE FOLLOWING!!!!
Due to a number of messages we have received we would like to shed some light on the recent HERALD article advising of a COVID-19 positive case visiting the East Tamaki store.
A number of the Wholesale Meats Direct stores are independently owned and operated. Richard and I own both the ONEHUNGA and Albany stores. The online orders and deliveries are part of our Onehunga operation and very independent of the other stores. We were originally informed by the COVID-19 Business help line that we were allowed to operate at level 4 by being open to the public which was incorrect advice. As soon as we were notified by the Police, we closed our Onehunga and Albany stores which was on Thursday 19th August. From that point we have only been operating our online service. All staff that we employ to complete the online orders have no association to the East Tamaki Wholesale Meats Direct store.
Please be assured that we are taking every possible precaution to ensure the safety of our staff and our customers.

Māui and the Sacred Fire
Māui, a legendary hero, sought to bring fire to the people from Mahuika, the Atua of fire. Māui approached Mahuika with respect for her mana, acknowledging her as the keeper of sacred power. Through wit and humility, he earned her trust, receiving the secret of fire to share with humankind.
