Safer plates + engraving tools

Pablo Delgado from Beach Haven and Birkdale Community Watch

We are very proud to bring, for the first time in Beach Haven, this event to make our Community a bit safer. Thanks to Beach Haven & Birkdale Residents Association for let us use their car park and to Birkenhead RSA and Beach Haven Tennis Club for covering the cost of materials and tools we are able to offer these services free of charge. We're also grateful with NZ Police for its involvement.

Bring your car to have your rego screws replaced by tamper proof screws or bring your tools down to have them engraved.
Saturday 4 February,
10am - 12pm
Residents Association Car Park, 336 Rangatira Road, Beach Haven

Thieves have been targeting cars parked on streets at night to get legitimate number plates to disguise their stolen cars identity. Replacing the standard rego plates screws with tamper proof screws will protect your vehicles.

Tradies power tools are not so valuable for thieves if they've their rightful owner ID engraved. Should the tools get stoled and recovered, Police can easily get in touch.

Poll: If we want to reduce speeding, what do you think actually changes driver behaviour? πŸ›»πŸš¨πŸš“

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In the Post's article on speeding penalties, the question is asked whether speeding fines are truly about road safety, or are they just a way to boost revenue for the Crown?

What do you think? Should speeding motorists receive speeding fines or demerit points?
