Join us for an evening to celebrate YOU!
In preparation for upcoming National Volunteer Week (June 20th to June 26th), we want to celebrate the hours volunteers have put into protecting and enhancing Kaipātiki’s natural spaces and supporting Pest Free Kaipātiki in our goal for a healthy and flourishing flora and fauna in the region.
We also like to take this opportunity to thank those who have volunteered with PFK in the past, and those who have expressed an interest in volunteering in the future.
During the event, we also want to ensure that all our volunteers, new and old, feel confident volunteering, whether that be at community events, as street champions, working in hit squads, or helping out at planting days. To this end, we have some skill-building activities planned to help us get to know each other, and PFK, better.
We would love for you to join us for an evening of community building and celebration. Get in touch if you are interested enquiries@pestfreekaipatiki.org.nz
🪱🐦 When are you the most productive? 🌙🦉
The Post has been diving into our daily habits, and research suggests being an early bird or a night owl isn’t just a choice—it’s biology! We all have that specific time when our brains finally "click" into gear.
This raises a big question for the modern workplace. To get the best out of everyone, should employers accommodate our natural body clocks? This idea is at the heart of the four-day work week and flexible scheduling movements.
We want to hear from you:
1. When does your brain "click" into gear?
2. Would a flexible (or shortened) schedule change the way you work?

The latest reporting from The Post suggests a wave of optimism for 2026. With interest rates finally heading south, businesses are feeling more positive. But for many on the ground, the real-world recovery feels a bit like a slow-moving commute on Auckland's motorways.
