Tree Planting Help Needed
Tomorrow morning Wednesday 28th April we are planting trees on the Half Moon Bay Reserve the entrance is from Half Moon Rise. The council have purchased the 200 trees and we really need more help to plant these trees.
Maybe you have teenagers on holiday who could do a couple of hours of community work. Maybe you don't want to see this reserve lost to housing. We fought very hard in the 1970's to stop houses being built on here and we need to show the council that people in this community are using the reserve and are willing to help.
If possible bring a spade and wear covered shoes. Or just come and carry the trees to the planters. Ring Jeanette at 0274984764 for more details or turn up tomorrow any time between 8.30 and 11 am.

Georgina's Rhubarb Crumble
Craving a dessert that makes the most of spring's fresh produce? Look no further than Georgina's signature Rhubarb Crumble.
This delicious treat has become a favourite at Ryman’s Bert Sutcliffe Village, where the sweet and tangy aroma often wafts through the air, tempting neighbours in for a taste. It’s also a hit with Georgina's 13-year-old granddaughter, Brooklyn, who loves serving it warm with gooey custard or a scoop of melting vanilla ice cream.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
