Rental home insulation inspections are a rort.

Michelle from Pakuranga Heights

Do you own a rental home, and are you having it property managed?
Are you are being told by your agent that you have to have an independent insulation assessment done to prove it meets the new legal insulation requirements?

Don't fall for this rubbish. As a property owner you are entitled to provide your own assessment and there is a guideline on the tenancy services web page to help you do this. It's as easy as looking under the house and into the roof space,

...so don't be conned into paying for a "expert" if you don't need to.

Poll: Should you ask before planting tall shrubs/trees near your property line?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

It may be fine now but in a few years trees can block out light or views for neighbours.

Do you think neighbours should ask before they go ahead and plant these?
