Auckland Council is facing major financial challenges requiring some tough choices with a forecasted budget shortfall of $295million. ANCAD (Auckland North Community and Development) is hosting an opportunity for groups and organisations to hear about the potential effects of the budget and to discuss ways in which make a submission with other groups/organisations.

We encourage you and your board to attend this hui and to have your say.

Consultation opened 28 February and will close 28 March 2023.

DATE: Thursday 16 March 12.30pm AND Tuesday 21 March at 6.30pm.

Some Choice News!

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
