Have you thought about joining a choir this year?
If you love singing and can sing in tune, come and join our very friendly community choir, Cantemus, this year. We're an unauditioned SATB choir conducted by Stuart Weightman, singing a wide variety of secular and religious music, from Bach to the Beatles and beyond. We practise on Monday nights from 7.30 to 9.30 (including supper), at St Luke's church in Newmarket, starting the year on Monday February 15. Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
