If you love singing and can sing in tune, come and join our very friendly community choir, Cantemus, this year. We're an unauditioned SATB choir conducted by Stuart Weightman, singing a wide variety of secular and religious music, from Bach to the Beatles and beyond. We practise on Monday nights from 7.30 to 9.30 (including supper), at St Luke's church in Newmarket, starting the year on Monday February 15. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
