We all did well, let's get on with it!
Congratulations Jan O'Connor, Ruth Jackson, Trish Deans, Aidan Bennett, Toni van Tonder and George Wood. Our Local Area needs a great team like you all to work together and represent our best interests. Ngā mihi.
Thank you also to the many supporters who have put shoulder to the Heart of the Shore wheel and turned out an excellent result.
Congratulations also to the other candidates who stood in the 2019 Local Board Elections for Devonport-Takapuna. Hopefully, as I've been privileged, you've also met many good friends, and learnt much about our communities along the way. Together we've all served the Local Area we love. Kia kaha.
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
