Kids Athletics Series on Tuesdays 4pm-6pm until 26 March

Promotions Coordinator from Devonport Peninsula Trust

Kids Athletics is a 6 week 'have-a-go' style athletics programme where primary and intermediate school aged kids have the opportunity to try a variety of athletics activities in a non-competitive environment.
Activities include running races, long jump, high jump, agility games and ball skills.
The programme starts on Tuesday 19th Feb and runs on consecutive Tuesdays until (and including) Tuesday 26 March.

As its an outdoor programme, it is weather dependent.

Attendance is free and casual so there is no need to book in advance or feel obligated to attend all sessions, though we do hope you will be able to.

Participants should arrive at the event venue at 4pm, which is the Vauxhall Sports Reserve, also known as the North Shore Rugby Club grounds - access is off Vauxhall Rd, where the bleachers are.

Registration is done on site, each session. Sessions finish at 6pm and there is food (sausage sizzle) and drink for sale on site.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
