I'm certain I've seen something like this here in Aotearoa-NZ, but can't for the life of me recall where. It was in the back of the medicine cupboard. Let us know if you've seen, had - or have - one in your home.

What do you think about the incoming increased public transport fares?

On Monday, Auckland Council announced a 4 percent increase for peak-time travel with a discount approved for off-peak travel.

According to Auckland Transport (AT), some passengers would be paying an extra 35 cents per trip, with a daily maximum spend of $20 per day which for some, would mean an unlimited daily pass.

Former AT chairman Dr Lester Levy advocated for fare freezes have not been heeded in the 2021 review.

Hello neighbours,
I hope you are enjoying summer, beaches and ocean.

In a time when we are not able to travel or host here international performers, there is the best chance to explore our beautiful country and to know the talented New Zealand singers.

Let me please introduce my friend. Her name is Marina Bloom.

She is a Russian born singer-songwriter living in New Zealand. Marina developed a love for traditional Russian music alongside Western pop music and credits Celine Dion and Fleetwood Mac as her early influence.

But not only. A lawyer and business analyst who’s also devoted to human rights activism; she organises flash mobs with dance enthusiasts; expounds the benefits of raw food, and performs amazing songs.

Marina’s steadfast approach to creating soulful tunes has led to national radio interviews, international awards, a viral music video in 2016 with her silky pop ballad, ‘Heroes’– and to top it all off, her 2018 track ‘This Feeling’ (ft. mPHATic) hit the #1 position on the New Zealand iTunes Dance chart beating Bruno Mars to the punch.

Marina has written over 70 songs, formed a band and started performing in New Zealand.

She sings in two languages –English and Russian– and her diverse albums reflect that.

Described as ‘World Melodic Pop’, her music is a broad mix of pop, country and soft rock but also incorporates elements of world music.

Her latest album topped the NZ albums top 20 charts in January 2020, which she supported with the tour of New Zealand before the lockdown.

The 4th of February in The Tuning Fork with her new exciting visual show "Open your soul" Marina Bloom will unveil the new songs and will perform a few crowd’s favourites from her previous albums. The evening packed with award-winning music from this singer-songwriter is bound to entertain and tantalise your senses.

Performing with her band Marina Bloom is presenting her brand new album and playing the crowds' favourites from her previous chart-topping albums.
