Turning garden waste into compost
Great weather for soil improvement! I always enjoy the winter for the speed of decomposition of all the prunings and woody weeds from the year, with several months good "rotting weather" before they become a fire hazard next summer.
Does anyone want a hand turning their garden waste into compost? I charge an hourly rate but am very fast. It's amazing how quickly a huge pile of branches and weeds can be turned into a neat pile of poles which lie straight and can be placed along a fence or under shrubbery, creating invertebrate habitat, while the leafy twigs and weeds close the gaps, assisting rotting.
