Free NZQA Diploma in Business - Project Management

Josephine from Otara

Hello Neighbours,
I have been tutoring the free NZQA business programmes for Te Wananga o Aotearoa (TWoA) for 20 years now and absolutely love it as it brings these valuable skills and resources to our South Auckland communities, free of charge.

I hold a Masters degree in business (MBA) and additional to the usual business management papers, one of my specialty papers in my masters degree is Project Management. Therefore, not only am I very experienced and qualified in this arena, but I am passionate about helping people learn how to set up and run their own business in New Zealand. I am also a business practitioner, as I have had my own business since 1995, in this field and also own a property management company.

This semester, TWoA is offering the NZQA Level 5, NZ Diploma in Business - Project Management. this semester. Although the major is project management there is also a small business management component to compliment this genre.

It will run for 36 weeks, the first week of March and ending at the end of November. There is a two week study break in July. The programme is designed to attract current business owners who want to develop more business skills, or people working who want to move into project/business management. Therefore, the class is only one evening a week, (6 - 9pm) where most classes will be taught via zoom and some classes (about 8 classes) will be face to face at MIT, Otara campus). You will be also offered one/one mentoring sessions as part of the programme and workshops to help with assignments etc.

It is a free course and all resources (except stationery and laptops/computers) will be provided, also free of charge.
The criteria for entry into the programme is that, you must be a NZ citizen or permanent resident and you must hold a level 4 qualification, in any field, it does not need to be a level 4 in business, but that would be useful.

I have a few seats left in my class, and if you are interested, please email me (simplybusiness2017@outlook.com and I will send you the programme overview. Include your phone number and I will call you in the next day or two to explain how you can enroll. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to gain a valuable NZ business qualification.

Warm regards

Josephine

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?
