Milford family seeks afternoon support unicorn

Ainsley Darvell from Flying Kites - North Auckland

Are you organised, warm & engaging?
Are you looking for a childcare role that works for you?
20-40 hours per week in Milford – This could be what you are looking for!

Your main focus will be to help an 11 year old autistic girl with her after school routine. She loves people who are warm, energetic and respectful. She enjoys being engaged and encouraged, while being allowed to lead the afternoons plans. Her disability means that she needs help with some core daily skills that she is still developing (such as personal care tasks & independence).

We are looking for an empathetic, experienced family assistant/nanny/support worker to spend time with this young lady and her two sisters 4 – 5 afternoons per week. We need you at least 2.30-6pm, but if you are open to helping more around the house and in the kitchen then your hours could be up to 11am – 7pm. We are happy to adjust the workload to match your skills and availability. Your availability to start ASAP would be a huge advantage.

You need your full driver licence and your own car to be successful in the role. We are looking for someone with childcare, disability or autism experience. If you are the person we are looking for we can support you with an engaging work environment, lots of fun and $28-$33 per hour.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
