Missing truck ramps and tiedowns from Chequers Avenue Glenfield

Jac from Glenfield

Hi All
This morning (Saturday 22nd October) our contractor left his truck ramps, tie downs, gumboots and wheel wedge on the grass verge on Chequers Ave and they went missing sometime before 1.00 pm. We assume someone thought they had been put out as unwanted items as we all do this. We are following up on several different leads on vehicles sighted around this time. If you have any info on these items could you please call me on 0275 008 991 The young self employed contractor is devastated to lose these items that are used to generate his income. Many thanks in advance. Cheers Jac

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
