So I tried to update via iTunes. No dice. So… View moreLearn from this Guys. My iPhone8 stopped updating the software I realised when I'm looking at Tuesday's weather and it's Thursday. Then I can't send texts "time sensitive" was the message. So I tried to update. No Dice
So I tried to update via iTunes. No dice. So I downloaded the app. No dice and then the phone froze on the Apple support screen. Apple support said I had to take it to the store. Cost me to send it in and have it diagnosed. $70
They (Harvey Norman Wairau) reset the phone and couriered it back. And I'm now locked out and have to recover my account through Apple who via the web told me I have a wait period of 'days' or 'LONGER"
Kewl. NOT. So after a 'wait period' (in their words...1984 anyone?) which Apple assured me their call centre people can't hasten I'm given a coundown...24 hours...10 hours...3 hours...20 mins...
And THEN I'm told I have to wait until November 6th to recover my account!!! It's already been down a week and now another fortnight???
So, yes their tactics have resulted in forcing me to upgrade my old phone. But guess what. Spark are sending me out a Samsung S24.
Goodbye Apple.
