Most of Devonport closed to cars on Sunday
Hi neighbours. This is a heads-up some roads in and around Devonport will be closed to cars on Sunday. More than 2000 people are expected to take part in the Harcourts Cooper & Co Devonport Half Marathon. The marathon, which will take place from 7.30am until 11.30am, has a new course which has closed down roads "to ensure everyone can enjoy a great run or walk". Are you taking part in the marathon? Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Auckland Harbour Bridge summer works
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is carrying out essential maintenance on the Auckland Harbour Bridge this December and January. The southbound clip-on lanes will be closed (24/7) from 26 December to 5 January for road resurfacing. Night-time lane restrictions will be in place throughout the summer for recoating work on the bridge. Traffic will still be able to travel in both directions at all times.
