Calling all businesses! You can all utilize self storage in some way, to help your company grow and expand!
Here are just some of the types of businesses that can use self storage:

Publishers
Need to store magazines, brochures or books before you sell them? Or store excess stock? A self storage unit is perfect for this, our staff can assist with deliveries too. You can move to a larger or smaller unit if you need more space.

Contractors and Tradies
Keeping your tools or equipment in your garage or vehicle can seem convenient but can come with some risks, theft being the main one. Tools of the trade can be expensive and it can set you back a lot of money to replace them suddenly, not to mention potentially losing a days’ work. If you keep everything in a storage unit, you can rest assured that your tools and equipment will be safe in our facilities.

Theatre Groups
Need somewhere to store all of those sets, props and costumes? Look no further. You could even use it as a living and breathing costume department.

Online businesses
Storage facilities are perfect for online businesses. You can have your shipping containers unpacked and cleared and the contents delivered straight to your unit. Often when you’re starting out, your inventory can grow faster than the space you’ve got available so self storage can be a real help.

Sales reps / Merchandisers
What do you do if your business, office or home is on one side of the city and your customer base another? Can you fit all of your samples and stock into your car? Even if you can, is it worth the risk of theft? A self storage unit can be ideal. Not only does it make it easy to keep an inventory, you can come and go as often as you like and if you need more storage, you can look at getting a larger unit.

There are lots of opportunities for all sorts of businesses to utilize self storage. If you’d like to learn more about how it could work for you, give our knowledgeable staff a call today on

But often families overlook that they are leaving their family home unattended. Security lights activated by motion detection provide a fantastic deterrent to people who may be snooping around while you are away. When your driveway suddenly lights up like Eden Park, this is a great message for the uninvited to go elsewhere. Makes sure you have some form of security lighting in place before you head off to the beach. Replace failed security lights and ensure peace of mind while you are away. Don't be the only home in the street that has no security lights - you may become the target

Blessing scam

Three suspected scammers have been arrested trying to leave New Zealand with a large quantity of cash from their alleged victims.
A 50-year-old man and two women, 59 and 53, were arrested at Auckland International Airport yesterday by detectives from the Auckland City Financial Crime Unit. The trio, all Chinese nationals, were arrested just before they checked in for their flights to China.
They arrived in New Zealand on 10 October. Police alleged that two days later, they began operating a blessing scam – a form of fraud targeting immigrant or elderly communities who are deceived into believing they or their loved ones are cursed or in spiritual danger.
Police have jointly charged the three suspects with two counts of obtaining by deception. The charges relate to two victims – one who lost $14,500 and jewellery and another who lost $15,000.
The accused were remanded in custody following their arrest and are due to appear in the Auckland District Court today. Police are continuing to tally the money that has been recovered, but it is a substantial amount.
Perpetrators of blessing scams pose as healers or spiritual practitioners, offering to remove the curse or bring good fortune in exchange for money or valuable items. Victims are pressured to hand over cash or jewellery, typically instructed not to open the packages they receive, only to later discover that the contents are worthless.
While the Financial Crime Unit has identified two victims so far, it’s highly likely more people were targeted.
We urge anyone who may have fallen victim to this scam to contact us and encourage members of New Zealand’s Chinese community to talk with elderly relatives and make a report if they have been scammed.
If you have any information that could help our enquiries, please contact us at 105.police.govt.nz... or call 105.
In New Zealand, blessing scams have predominantly targeted Chinese communities, exploiting cultural beliefs in spiritual healing and curses. This type of fraud has been active in New Zealand for more than 15 years, with a notable rise in cases in Auckland in recent years.
Police have continued to raise awareness within at-risk communities, yet these fraudulent activities persist, often carried out by well-coordinated groups.
Police remain committed to protecting all members of the public from fraud and financial harm, and ensuring that everyone feels safe from deceptive practices.
We encourage the community to stay vigilant against scams and to remain cautious when approached by individuals offering unsolicited services.
If you suspect that you may have fallen victim to a scam, please contact Police via 105 immediately.

Although 19, he has a developmental age like that of preschooler/early primary school children and physical appearance of around 12 yrs. A young family with children of similar ages would be ideal as he loves playing games of this age group (primary school age). This is an amazing opportunity to bring a sense of personal well-being and fulfilment to your life and his. He is looking for a caring, loving, understanding and supportive family and in return he will bring lots of laughs and joy to your household. A placid and gentle person he loves trampolining, bird watching, dancing, music, going to the beach or the park. He loves being outside so a garden that is fenced would be great. He loves days out or just hanging at your place, whichever suits you and your family. He has a unique style of communication using an Ipad to talk, which you can learn to use too. He will need full supervision, and you need to be comfortable with changing nappies. Starting with a monthly/fortnightly weekend day care increasing to overnight respite care once a month or so, giving everyone time to get to know each other. No experience necessary just a kind and caring heart. Mum and dad will be on call if necessary. Potential employees will be subject to reference and police checks.

If you are interested, please email jobs@flyingkites.org.nz or send me a message

Flying Kites helps people with disabilities find amazing people to support them to live their lives and achieve their dreams. #FlyingkitesNZ
