Poll: Have you ever been bullied?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

People associate bullying with children in schools, but it can actually stretch beyond childhood to workplaces or neighbourhoods.

This Friday is Pink Shirt Day, which began in Canada in 2007 when two students took a stand against homophobic bullying after a new student was harassed for wearing pink. People across the globe are now encouraged to wear pink on this day to take a stand against bullying and promote inclusivity.

Have you or your whānau ever experienced bullying? Share your thoughts on Pink Shirt Day below.

Type 'Not For Print' if you wish your comments to be excluded from the Conversations column of your local paper.

Free meditation workshop

Durba from Mount Eden

Sunday Workshop – Rediscovering the Spiritual Heart

Our spiritual heart encompasses our most valued human qualities – compassion, love, peace, intuitive intelligence, the many aspects of our unique spirituality. It is the home to our soul. This one-off Sunday morning w/shop uses mantra, music, visualization and guided meditation to silence the mind and open the heart centre where meditation is most easily experienced.

When: Sunday 19 May, 8.00am – 11.00am
Where: 93 Dominion Road, Mt Eden (on corner of Tawari St).
Registration: Admission is free, registration is required to ensure seating. All welcome. Please text your name/contact details to Jogyata 0221 887 432.
