Learning about Jazmine Mary, on East FM, Saturday from 3pm

Phil from Farm Cove

It’s with old-time folkster joy that we have a rising star on the NZ Music scene, Jazmine Mary, as featured artist on tomorrow’s She’ll Be Right on Saturdays Show with PJ Taylor, 3pm to 7pm (NZ time, June 24) on East FM.
We’ll be talking live with Jazmine Mary at 3.30pm, chatting about their (yes, it’s plural) album, Dog, that’s getting rave reviews. We’ll go on a voyage of discovery and play most of the tracks.
Since its release a few weeks back, it has been No. 1 on the SRN chart, No. 5 on the Alt-Radio airplay chart, and in the Top 20 Hot NZ single chart.
They’re about to embark on a national tour, and the Auckland tour date is with the amazing Julia Deans, who is opening, on July 8 at The Hollywood Cinema, in good-old Avondale. That will be a very special double-header concert. For tickets:

Jazmine Mary was the 2022 award winner of the Auckland Live best independent debut, at the Taite Music Awards. jazminemary.bandcamp.com...

For the remainder of She’ll Be Right, we’ll take a tour around other musical neighbourhoods and no doubt play some old-new material acquired at the third East FM Vinyl Records and Music Memorabilia Fair at Howick Information Centre, Saturday, June 24, from 8am to 2.30pm. Free entry. Bargains galore, we reckon.
East FM is East Auckland’s fair-dinkum community-powered public service radio station, on 88.1FM and 107.1FM on local frequencies, nationally and globally at www.eastfm.nz... and on app iHeart Radio.
She’ll Be Right - it’s all about the vibe; it’s all about the groove. And tomorrow we discover Jazmine Mary. – PJ

⚠️ DOGS DIE IN HOT CARS. If you love them, don't leave them. ⚠️

The Team from SPCA New Zealand

It's a message we share time and time again, and this year, we're calling on you to help us spread that message further.
Did you know that calls to SPCA about dogs left inside hot cars made up a whopping 11% of all welfare calls last summer? This is a completely preventable issue, and one which is causing hundreds of dogs (often loved pets) to suffer.
Here are some quick facts to share with the dog owners in your life:

👉 The temperature inside a car can heat to over 50°C in less than 15 minutes.
👉 Parking in the shade and cracking windows does little to help on a warm day. Dogs rely on panting to keep cool, which they can't do in a hot car.
👉 This puts dogs at a high risk of heatstroke - a serious condition for dogs, with a mortality rate between 39%-50%.
👉 It is an offence under the Animal Welfare Act to leave a dog in a hot vehicle if they are showing signs of heat stress. You can be fined, and prosecuted.
SPCA has created downloadable resources to help you spread the message even further. Posters, a flyer, and a social media tile can be downloaded from our website here: www.spca.nz...
We encourage you to use these - and ask your local businesses to display the posters if they can. Flyers can be kept in your car and handed out as needed.
This is a community problem, and one we cannot solve alone. Help us to prevent more tragedies this summer by sharing this post.
On behalf of the animals - thank you ❤️
