Weak 5.2 earthquake wakes Coromandel, felt across Auckland
Good morning Aucklanders, did anyone wake to a sudden jolt in the early hours?
A weak 5.2 earthquake struck at 3.47am, 120 km north-east of Whangamata. More than 2500 people felt it - and many did across Auckland.

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
