Digital Workshops for South Auckland Youth
Southtech Innov8 2022 gives rangatahi the opportunity to visualise themselves in the future of digital technology and innovation when they will be shown Māori and Pasifika businesses that are thriving in this space.
This year Weta Workshop will be present as they share SFX Makeup and sculpting demonstrations.
Rangatahi will ignite their creativity as they listen to the crew spill some movie magic secrets and whip up a batch of fake blood, sculpt and design realistic scars and scrapes.
Southtech Innov8 2022 is supported by the Local Activation Fund Programme, administered by Tataki Auckland Unlimited on behalf of the New Zealand Government.

Night-time chipsealing works on SH2
From 9 to 17 February, stop/go traffic management will be in place on SH2 between McPherson Road and Dimmock Road on multiple nights between 9pm and 5am (Sundays to Thursdays).
During the day, all lanes will be open, but speed restrictions will apply to allow the chipseal to set and to protect vehicles travelling over the newly laid surface.
There may be delays to your journey when travelling through the area. This is weather dependent so check NZTA Journey Planner before you travel.
