Free consultations at 16 local clinics over Easter
We need your support whaanau to keep ED free for those who really need it. We're providing free consultations to Counties Manukau residents who need urgent care (that’s not life-threatening) at a participating clinic within our rohe from today until Easter Monday, 5 April. The fee waiver includes presentations for medical consultations, ACC co-payments, and repeat prescriptions however, fees outside the consultation can still be charged by the clinic. Remember whaanau – please don’t leave it too late to seek health care if you need it. Your local doctor is the place to go when you’re sick or injured. They will provide you with medical advice, prescriptions and help you to manage any long-term conditions. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
