Don't employ someone without checking them out first! This is what the Vendor of 36 Orangewood Drive in Northpark had to say!

Lisa Parfitt from Team Parfitt Property

“I thank you both for your going way and beyond my expectations in selling my mother’s house. She had been living in it for many years and was very reluctant to move into permanent care. As she deteriorated, both physically and mentally, so did the garden and the house. She would often mention a lovely couple who would visit her from time to time, and said that when it came time to sell, they are the people she would want me to contact. I did, and from our very first meeting with Lisa I was impressed. She was totally up front, saying her and her husband wanted to get the best price for my mum. In order to do this, there was quite a bit of work to be done. At that stage all I could see was dollars adding up involving finding tradesmen, organising them and doing the right thing in the right order. But I trusted Lisa’s experience and agreed. I am so glad I did because it made a big difference to the appearance of the house. Lisa was so helpful and offered to property manage the tradespeople for me. I took her up on the offer and her choice of people to do the work they did was amazing. Before the staging took place, I needed to empty a 2-meter-long cabinet of an overwhelming amount of crystal ware and ornaments. When Lisa saw the look on my face, she offered to help me. Now that’s what I call going above and beyond to help. Their marketing of the property was of a high level and very professional. During the sale process they kept me informed with a detailed written report of interest in the property each week. Prior to the auction they ran through the process, so I knew what to expect. We achieved a result $200,000 above my wildest imagination!! I have complete confidence in Lisa and Wayne. They are people of high professionalism, integrity and are passionate about their work. For me they exceeded my expectations on every level, and I wish them all the best for the future.”

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Poll: Should complete designs be shared with the public, or should the community help shape the designs from the start?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Post recently shared an opinion piece on the Harbour Crossing and why a more democratic approach might be needed 🚗🚲👟

While most decisions sit within the political arena, many organisations—like NZTA—manage long-term projects that go beyond party lines. Politics can sometimes disrupt progress, and the next Harbour Crossing is a big decision that will affect all Aucklanders.

We’d love your thoughts: Should near-complete, shovel-ready designs be shared with the public, or should the community have a hand in shaping the designs from the start?
