Cat Friendly Clinic - Gold - awarded February 2019

East Coast Bays Vet Clinic

East Coast Bays Vet Clinic has achieved the internationally-recognised Cat-Friendly Clinic Gold level accreditation

“We wanted to make sure that a trip to our clinic was as stress-free an experience as possible for our cat patients and their owners. Cats can get very anxious when taken out of their usual environment, and this can make owners reluctant to seek veterinary attention when their cat needs it. By undertaking Cat-Friendly Clinic accreditation, we’ve committed to delivering high standards of cat care, with compassion and expertise.”

Best Practice Accredited - awarded in July 2018.

We are proud to announce our Best Practice accreditation! Best Practice is a NZ Veterinary Association initiative to encourage excellence in Veterinary Medicine.

We are the first clinic on the North Shore to achieve this standard and it provides further assurance that you are trusting your pet to safe care. The accreditation involves voluntarily submitting ourselves to a stringent and comprehensive scrutiny of the facility, staff and operational standards every two years by an independent auditor.

Being a voluntary set of standards, it is a clear indication that our team is professional, organised and motivated to provide excellence of care for your pet.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Night-time chipsealing works on SH2

NZ Transport Agency (NZTA)

From 9 to 17 February, stop/go traffic management will be in place on SH2 between McPherson Road and Dimmock Road on multiple nights between 9pm and 5am (Sundays to Thursdays).

During the day, all lanes will be open, but speed restrictions will apply to allow the chipseal to set and to protect vehicles travelling over the newly laid surface.

There may be delays to your journey when travelling through the area. This is weather dependent so check NZTA Journey Planner before you travel.
