Kia ora neighbours. To further celebrate Te Wiki o te reo Māori (Māori Language Week), Te Reo Tuatahi will soon be holding basic te reo lessons in partnership with Glenfield Mall . The launch is September 14, from 6pm till 7pm outside Michael Hill, and will include a kapa haka performance by Glenfield College and feature talks by guest speakers about revitalising and normalising te reo Māori. Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
