Spinning 1970s tracks on East FM this Saturday arvo from 3pm...

Phil from Farm Cove

As well as featuring Taranaki band Turkey the Bird, we’re jive walking back to the 1970s and spotlighting that eclectic decade of music with guest DJ Vince Collins on this arvo’s She’ll Be Right on Saturdays Show with PJ Taylor, 3-7pm (NZ time) on East FM.
Back in April, Vince and I covered off different genres of music from the Eclectic ‘70s, but we still have plenty of material to play in today’s second instalment.
We’ll also be talking with Andre Manella of Turkey the Bird at 4pm before the trio’s concert at the Ministry of Folk in Mt Eden on Saturday night.
East FM is East Auckland’s diverse community-powered public service radio station, on 88.1FM and 107.1FM on local frequencies, nationally and globally at www.eastfm.nz... and on app iHeart Radio.
She’ll Be Right - it’s all about the vibe; it’s all about the groove. And this Saturday we’re talking turkey (like most weeks) and reliving the ‘70s. – PJ

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Poll: As a customer, what do you think about automation?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Press investigates the growing reliance on your unpaid labour.

Automation (or the “unpaid shift”) is often described as efficient ... but it tends to benefit employers more than consumers.

We want to know: What do you think about automation?
Are you for, or against?
