CAREGIVER POSITION, RETIRED NURSE, STUDENT NURSE
Hi Neighbours. We need a special someone to help us with some Caregiving for my 88yo mother. We are based on the Shore. Ideally a retired nurse, or a student nurse looking for a part time job as my mother had a stroke & needs assistance. We have a carer who showers her each day so no need to do that. The role would be 1-2 days a week initially helping her get ready in the morning, making her breakfast, lunch & possibly dinner 😃 Light cleaning duties also, making her bed, cleaning her bathroom, keeping her lounge & bedroom tidy. Mum is a lovely lady, a soft spoken person, good SOH, has limited English but she is suited with somebody with a quiet, caring nature would be ideal. First introduced in New Zealand in 1927 with the passing of the Summer Time Act, it's what we know as 'Daylight Saving' and this year it ends on the first Sunday in April.
While we do get to sleep in this time around, some people would like to scrap the clock tinkering for good.
And why? Some evidence suggests the time changes are bad for our health as they mess with sleep patterns leading to short-term fatigue and affecting mood. Meanwhile the hour change is frustrating for farmers and a nightmare for getting the littlies to sleep. But what's your take?
