MetService New Zealand has issued a Heavy Rain Watch for Auckland.

π From Midnight tonight (11 Sep) to 9am Friday 12 September (9 hours).
Follow MetService New Zealand for the latest weather updates.
π Check your drains and gutters to ensure they arenβt blocked. These can cause flooding issues during heaving rain.
π Take extreme care if you are driving in heavy rain, and delay trips if possible. Plan your journey with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, avoid low-lying areas and drive cautiously.
π Do not try to walk, play, swim or drive in floodwater.
π Look out for neighbours, friends and family will also be important, especially if you live, work or travel in an area that is prone to flooding, slips or power outages
