Look who's coming to DJ, East FM from 3pm, Saturday

Phil from Farm Cove

TV star, main-street celebrity and music encyclopedia, Mr Wayne Anderson – the Singer of Songs – is Ten Years Sober (album title?) and to celebrate his monumental enforced drought, he’s back as Guest DJ on tomorrow’s She’ll Be Right Show, 3pm to 7pm (NZ time, August 26) on East FM.

And to make Wayne’s return to She’ll Be Right a triumph, he’s packing a punch with a line-up of featured 1950-60s’ rock n’ roll pioneers – Ray Charles, Paul Anka, Eddie Cochrane, Dion and the Belmonts, Bill Haley and the Comets, Ricky Nelson, Del Shannon, and Buddy Holly and the Crickets. Boom! Or do I mean Boomer!?

When Wayne’s guest DJing, it’s his selections, and this show will put the spotlight on those rock n’ roll heroes for a half-hour each. PJ kicks back and eats cake. Pushes a few dials.

East FM is East Auckland’s fair-dinkum community-powered public service radio station, on 88.1FM and 107.1FM on local frequencies, nationally and globally at www.eastfm.nz... and on app iHeart Radio.

She’ll Be Right - it’s all about the vibe; it’s all about the groove. And tomorrow, we get into that kitchen and rattle those pots and pans. What I’d Say! As I walk along I wonder… why? – PJ

accommodation in Wellington

Stephen from Half Moon Bay

Hi everyone,

I’m moving to Wellington for work and looking for a place from 16 February 2026. I’m 22 and starting a full-time role as a young graduate professional in IT/Data Science in the CBD.

I’m tidy, respectful, quiet, non-smoker, and like keeping my space clean. Outside of work I enjoy music and photography, but I do keep things quiet at home. I don’t have a car, so good bus access or train to the CBD is important.

What I’m after:
-Prefer living alone (studio/bedsit) but open to a quiet flat too
- Easy bus access or walking distance to the CBD
- Furnished
- Close to a supermarket
- Long-term
- Budget up to $400/week
- Move in early Feb 2026 or late Jan

Just checking if you know any places

Thank you
Regards, Reuben

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
