Howick Historical Village is closed Sunday 29th January due to the severe weather event in Tāmaki Makaurau.
We will continue to update you on our closure as we give time for our hard-working team to ensure the grounds are safe before welcoming back visitors.
The nearest Civil Defence Centre for East Aucklanders is located at 32 Riverton Drive, Randwick Park, Manukau. We hope everyone and their whānau stay safe.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
