Auckland Council and the Auckland RSA have come together to provide plenty of opportunities for Aucklanders to honour the military veterans who displayed courage serving our country.

Although the number of in-person services and ceremonies across the region is reduced as a result of the red-light setting during planning, there are still many ways to commemorate at home or in the community.

The dawn service at the Auckland War Memorial Museum is limited to veterans and invited guests only. The public are encouraged to view the service at home on Māori Television.

Visit ourauckland.nz/anzacday for ways to commemorate Anzac Day.

This week our Advanced cookery students designed a three-course menu that includes a fish dish, involving the filleting of a fish, freshly made pasta - ribbon or ravioli, plus dessert - all with a Mediterranean theme.
This is one of our most popular projects as the students must design a three-course menu, cost it in a spreadsheet to meet a specific budget, create a menu card and timeplan to help them execute the tasks. They must serve the menu to a guest who arrives at 12.30. Everything is done on the day. The students also get to sit with their guest to savour and enjoy their creations.

Along with our cookery students, the Food & Beverage, Level 4 students showcased excellent wine and food service to the guests.

Some of the dishes prepared were -
- Pan seared fish with salsa and mesclun salad
- Fettuccine Al Burro with handmade pasta
- Semolina cake soaked in orange blossom syrup, rosewater sorbet, pistachio crumb & candied orange peel

Should you require it, our technicians can construct custom foam inserts for any case. Just contact us by phone or email and we will be happy to discuss your particular requirements.

All foam inserts, foam linings and blocks are made from tough, resilient, high density, high energy absorbent, black polyethylene foam imported from England.

This foam is specially made for packaging and will not fade or discolour and is moisture proof and cleanable. Various grades are selected for each different application to ensure the correct protection against vibration, shock and rough handling.

Our foam inserts are processed by computer controlled machinery to fit snugly the contour of the subject equipment, cradling and effectively eliminating movement during transit or handling.

As well, with properly laid out pockets and slots, accessories are easily located and accounted for.

Inserts can be supplied for custom cases, Pelican cases, Pelican-Storm cases, Pelican-Hardigg cases and customer-provided cases. We can fit inserts to almost any type or make of case. Inserts can be one-off to production runs of any quantity. Small inserts for presentation purposes, or large inserts for engineering equipment and everything in between. See this page for more details.
